I am a university senior lecturer in Sociology and Social Research Methods. I have experience teaching a wide range of topics in Sociology. I am a published author in sociology with my work appearing in the British Journal of Sociology and Sociology. I have taught research methods, statistics, sociological theory, and a wide range of different substantive areas from the sociology of education to the sociology of religion. I am friendly and care deeply about ensuring my students do their best work. I have good communication skills and the ability to make complex material comprehensible to students.

Experience: I have been lecturing in Sociology for over 20 years. I have experience giving lectures, conducting seminars and holding one-on-one tutorials with students at a range of different levels. I won a £5000 teaching award when I lectured at the University of Oxford and an Innovation in Teaching award at LSBU. I am most proud that I was nominated for these awards by my students. I can teach the full Sociology curriculum having taught sociological theory, research methods, political sociology, the sociology of religion along with a range of other subjects. I am also an active researcher and my teaching is informed by my research experience.
