I currently work as a secondary school science teacher covering both separate and combine science courses up to year 11. have a PGCE in Secondary Science with Chemistry and I have a PhD in Chemistry from Cardiff University with a further 8 years experience working as a research fellow at the University of Leeds. I come from a family of science teachers and believe an excellent education is the minimum pupils should be entitled to. I am very enthusiastic about science and making it accessible for students of all abilities. I strive to ensure all tutees achieve their maximum potential with an understanding of how the sciences and maths interface.

Experience: I have a wealth of experience mentoring young people in theoretical and practical chemistry at university. I have now become a Secondary School teacher in the local area to fit in with family life, having two young children myself. I have experience working with secondary age students from Y6-Y13 in schools aswell as through running Salters festival of chemistry events and Monmouth science initiative days. I completed a PGCE teacher training course at the University of Huddersfield in 2021 to become a qualified secondary school science teacher. This has given me the most up to date training to enhance my tutoring.
