I am a qualified and enthusiastic English teacher and I have worked in an outstanding secondary school in Hull for four years. Currently, I am at the University of Hull completing an MA in English and applying for a PhD course.

Availability: Weekdays, evenings and weekends.

Experience: I am a qualified and enthusiastic secondary school English teacher with four years` experience working in an outstanding secondary school. I am experienced in teaching KS3 and GCSE English language and literature. After teaching GCSE courses for four years, I have a strong grasp on the specific skills students must show in order to reach their desired grades. I was also assistant progress leader in my English department for a year.

When teaching Key Stage 3, I have a range of strategies to teach important skills such as spelling, grammar, comprehension, inference and vocabulary.

Throughout my teaching experience I have shown ability to engage, motivate and inspire young people. In order to build students` skills, I always use a range of different teaching styles and I am flexible in my approach to tutoring. Similarly, I have taught a wide range of different abilities including pupils with SEN needs.
