I`m a qualified Maths teacher with a BSc (Hons)degree in Mathematics Education. I`m retired from full time teaching now, but I really enjoy one to one Maths tutoring, whether it`s Functional Maths, GCSE or A level Maths.

With one to one tutoring you get the chance to ask questions you might not want to ask in class, and I get the chance to see how you learn best. We will work on your weak areas and you will gain in confidence. To get your best grade in the exams you will then need lots of practice in answering exam questions; it really is all about practice, practice, practice, with expert guidance.

And I also hope you will enjoy your lessons, and enjoy your Maths more, too.

Availability: I can generally find a time to suit you, and I`m happy to do daytimes , evenings, and weekends

Experience: I started out studying Physics at degree level and then worked in the Electricity Supply Industry for several years. While bringing up a family, I studied Maths as a mature student with the Open University, and then qualified as a Maths teacher at the University of Exeter. I taught Maths in Devon secondary schools and I have taught A level and GCSE Maths full time for twelve years at FE college. I`ve also taught Functional Maths to adults and teenagers.

I`ve been tutoring for eight years in both GCSE and A level Maths.
I also work as an Examiner, marking international Maths papers.
