Information about Tin
Hi, I`m Tin and I`m 25. I`m a second year graduate medical student at Warwick university, and have a degree in International Relations (BA) from Queen Mary University.
I have many years of experience tutoring maths. I`m a friendly, enthusiastic and empathic tutor, and I aim to help students become more confident, achieve their potential aswell as doing well in their exams.
I`m calm, patient and a good listener. I have a passion in learning and educating others, and I always try to motivate and inspire my students.
Currently, I`m available to teach Maths GCSE and KS3. Furthermore, due to my experience of getting into medical school, I can also assist in guiding and mentoring in any aspect of the medicine application.
I have a recent enhanced DBS check/certificate.
My qualifications:
722.5 average (2890 total) on the UCAT, scoring in the top 6%.
Good 2.1 in International Relations (BA).
AAB in A level Maths, Economics and Politics.
3 A*s, 6 A`s, 2 B`s in GCSEs, including an A in Maths.
Availability: I am currently available throughout the day during the week and mornings/afternoons on the weekends, during the Summer holidays.
During the academic year, my availability will change due to returning to medical studies.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I have years of experience in tutoring as during A levels, I voluntarily tutored students in the lower years who were struggling in maths initially, and managed to help boost their confidence and their grades.
Likewise, throughout my undergraduate studies, I tutored and helped GCSE students in maths who were initially achieving Cs/Ds (level 3s/4s) to B`s (level 6) and above, increasing their confidence significantly.
Through my experience of tutoring, I am able to tailor and adapt my tutoring accordingly to the person`s goals, pace and learning style.
