I am a hardworking, passionate and experienced maths teacher and finance professional. I have great skills in engaging students and motivating them to progress and excel in their learning. I am currently a maths lecturer at a college. I have been a cover teacher working with KS 3/4 and occasionally covering KS5 lessons. Prior to this, I taught at a Young Offenders Institute for six weeks, having done a year’s work as cover teacher for three different schools – starting September 2017 and ending in June 2018. I also worked at Globe Academy as a full-time maths teacher after my PGCE. I came into teaching after working in accounting and finance for over twenty years in varying roles including finance manager, controller, data executive, etc, because of my passion for maths and working with young people.

My speciality is to prepare students for GCSEs exams by giving them the knowledge base and techniques to pass their exams.

Experience: I have taught and continue to teach in mainstream schools, prepared students for their GCSE exams on both individual and group bases. I have succeeded in motivating students and giving them the confidence to sit the exams, arising from the preparatory work done with them. I have also tutored ks3/4 and Ks 5 students in mathematics and accounting respectively.
