Alexander

Alex recently graduated from Oxford University with a double first in Music and has a wealth of experience teaching the piano. He has been fortunate enough to receive coaching from such internationally renowned artists as Yo Yo Ma, Steven Isserlis, Natalie Clein, and the Villiers Quartet, and looks to pass on these experiences through his teaching. During his time at Oxford, where he was awarded a Casperd Scholarship at St. John’s College, Alex performed regularly at the Holywell Music Room and the Sheldonian Theatre among other venues. From a young age, Alex has performed across a wide range of styles and ensembles, in venues including Snape Maltings Concert Hall, Westminster Hall, and West Road Concert Hall, Cambridge. As a jazz pianist too, Alex has performed at several of the UK’s leading venues and events with his own group including the London Jazz Festival, Love Supreme Festival, Ronnie Scott`s Jazz Club, and La Petite Halle, Paris, among others.

Availability: I am largely available for the next few months and happy to move lessons around to suit students where possible.

Experience: I have given private piano tuition for many years and have taught students from youngest 5 through to adults across all abilities.
