A qualified and experienced language teacher, I’ve taught French, Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, and English (ESL) to KS3, GCSE, A-Level, and adult learners since 2009, with online tutoring experience since 2020. I tailor every lesson to the student’s goals and preferred learning style, making sessions highly effective—helping learners achieve results while nurturing a genuine passion for language.

A published author since 2021, I also teach creative writing to adults of all abilities - from complete beginners to polishing a submission. Monthly mentoring sessions are available for aspiring writers. I can support with edits, proofreading, critiques as well as practical guidance on content marketing, newsletters, social media and reader magnets.

Experience: I’m a qualified teacher with nearly 20 years of classroom experience, specialising in Mandarin Chinese, French, Spanish, and English as a Second Language (ESL).

As an experienced MFL teacher, I’ve designed and delivered GCSE courses, coordinated language exams, and organised international study trips to promote cultural understanding and real-world language immersion.

Currently, I work as a cover teacher across Derby schools, bringing flexibility, structure, and warmth to each classroom. I’ve supported children, teenagers, and adults in developing fluency and confidence, tailoring every lesson to meet academic, professional, or everyday communication goals.
