I have been a science teacher for 10 years working in a large comprehensive school in Cardiff where I have taught GCSE Chemistry, GCSE Biology, A level Chemistry, and A level Biology. I have also worked as a private tutor, tutoring Chemistry and Biology at a successful tutoring agency in Cardiff. I am familiar with WJEC, AQA, Edexcel, and OCR examination boards and have a wealth of tutoring experience.

I specialise in helping students to achieve the highest possible grades in their examinations and to improve their confidence. I do this by teaching key aspects of the GCSE, AS, and A2 level specification and completion of past examination questions. This develops the students ability to recognise the language and command words commonly used by examiners and enables students to maximise the number of marks scored for each type of examination question. Furthermore students learn to identify and avoid common mistakes that are made when answering examination questions.
Overall this approach allows students to be confident that during the examination the style and language of questions will be familiar to them so that they can answer each question effectively.

Typical lesson structure:
• Teach a section of the relevant examination
specification
• Analyse and answer past examination questions for the
section of the specification studied.
• Discuss answers and identify where loss of marks
could have been avoided

Please note: I tutor in cilcain village but do not tutor at student`s homes.

Availability: Tuesdays and Wednesdays 5pm to 9 pm
