Information about Aidin

Hi, I’m Aidin and I have been a professional tutor for over ten years; having taught across a wide range of subjects and to many different age groups, I feel confident that I will find the best learning solution for you.
Teaching is my passion – The pursuit of knowledge is something that, I feel, is a pure and worthwhile pastime. However, it is important to note that learning itself is not the challenge, instead, it is simply the approach to that learning!

So, with that in mind…

No matter your experience, and no matter how far you are into your studies, I can provide a teaching experience tailored to your needs. My teaching incorporates Socratic Questioning (learning through questions to better explore ideas in depth and improve critical thinking), additional mentoring and life coaching – all of which has greatly improved the motivation and cognitive processing for my students, really helping them to meet their chosen targets.

Recent events have pushed tutors to work remotely where possible, causing concerns and teething problems for many. However, as I have taught online for several years prior (and to students all over the UK), I have established a routine and set-up that works.

I can accommodate both short term tuition, such as for exam purposes, or long-term tuition for those needing a more in-depth study profile. During this time, I will also monitor student progress and, where I feel it is needed, set tasks to help consolidate what they have learned.

There is no "one size fits all" when it comes to teaching, even though that is what some tutors may have you believe.

I make sure to adapt my lessons to suit each individual through a blend of well-practised pedagogical theories and experience - fundamentally looking to bring out the inquisitive nature in my students via Socratic theory.
To err is human, and so I encourage my students to work through their mistakes and learn from them early in the teaching process, ultimately building their confidence and producing a more well-rounded and in-depth knowledge of their chosen subject.

Whether you prefer a short-term, intense and focused "crash-course" style lesson plan, or a long-term lesson plan (which includes studies on motivation, cognition and metacognition, i.e. "the monitoring and direction of learning" and the option for coaching towards career aspects or life goals) I will work with both parents and students throughout the process to ensure all parties have their interests taken into account.

Availability: I am flexible and accommodating and do my best to match your requirements. I mostly teach online, although I may be able to accommodate face to face tuition with prior arrangement and discussion.

Aidin is amazing at what he does and this was evident from the first lesson, which he delivered without having a chance to prepare as we couldn’t pinpoint the exact problem or specific area needing attention. He is a calm and thoughtful tutor, who structures sessions around the needs of the student in a way that is engaging, challenging but not overwhelming. As a parent, I appreciate that he reflects on what was observed during the lesson and provides learning/revision material and regular updates on the overall progress whilst encouraging feedback on his teaching. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for help with learning.

Tutors Response :

Thank you for your kind review! It`s a pleasure to be able to support your son. I pride on being able to tailor my teaching to my students as I believe every individual has a unique way of learning that suits them. I am always looking for feedback and questions as they are important for me to continue to be able to provide my tailored support. I am excited to be able to continue working with your son and see him excel!

I was a very desperate student living in America looking for chemistry tutoring and stumbled on this website- later finding out that it is UK based!! Aidin has reworked his busy schedule to fit into the American time zone and spent his personal time adjusting to our confusing school system. I am grateful for the helpful resources he’s sent on top of helping me in such short notice. He has a genuine passion to help students and was very patient. Thank you very much.

Tutors Response :

Hello Amy, thank you for your kind words. It was a real pleasure to be able to support you and I enjoyed our sessions. Best of luck with the future!

Aidin attempted to tutor my son in Science GCSE subjects. He did his upmost to engage him but found it wasn’t possible due to my son’s significant cognitive difficulties. Aidin was faultless in his attempts to engage him and went over and above what I would expect a tutor to do. His preparations for the sessions were incredibly thorough and he was completely committed to trying to help my son as much as he possibly could. He is a thoroughly dedicated tutor and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending him .

Aidin has increased my son`s confidence greatly! Prior to tutoring he struggled with the basic concepts of maths, however since his sessions he has become eager to learn more. Aidin has patience and makes the lessons interactive and tailored to my sons needs. I would highly recommend any parent / guardian to consider him when finding a tutor.

Mr Aidin is an incredible teacher that encourages his students and leaves them feeling more confident by the end of the session. Furthermore, Mr Aidin helps you understand even the basics and helps you build your answer each time. I 100% recommend him to others.
