Hi, I’m Aidin and I have been a professional tutor for over ten years; having taught across a wide range of subjects and to many different age groups, I feel confident that I will find the best learning solution for you.
Teaching is my passion – The pursuit of knowledge is something that, I feel, is a pure and worthwhile pastime. However, it is important to note that learning itself is not the challenge, instead, it is simply the approach to that learning!

WHAT CAN I OFFER?

No matter your experience, and no matter how far you are into your studies, I can provide a teaching experience tailored to your needs. My teaching incorporates Socratic Questioning (learning through questions to better explore ideas in depth and improve critical thinking), additional mentoring and life coaching – all of which has greatly improved the motivation and cognitive processing for my students, really helping them to meet their chosen targets.

Recent events have pushed tutors to work remotely where possible, causing concerns and teething problems for many. However, as I have taught online for several years prior (and to students all over the UK), I have established a routine and set-up that works.

I can accommodate both short term tuition, such as for exam purposes, or long-term tuition for those needing a more in-depth study profile. During this time, I will also monitor student progress and, where I feel it is needed, set tasks to help consolidate what they have learned.


A UNIQUE TEACHING STYLE

There is no "one size fits all" when it comes to teaching, even though that is what some tutors may have you believe.

I make sure to adapt my lessons to suit each individual through a blend of well-practised pedagogical theories and experience - fundamentally looking to bring out the inquisitive nature in my students via Socratic theory.
To err is human, and so I encourage my students to work through their mistakes and learn from them early in the teaching process, ultimately building their confidence and producing a more well-rounded and in-depth knowledge of their chosen subject.

Whether you prefer a short-term, intense and focused "crash-course" style lesson plan, or a long-term lesson plan (which includes studies on motivation, cognition and metacognition, i.e. "the monitoring and direction of learning" and the option for coaching towards career aspects or life goals) I will work with both parents and students throughout the process to ensure all parties have their interests taken into account.

Availability: I am flexible and accommodating and do my best to match your requirements. I mostly teach online, although I may be able to accommodate face to face tuition with prior arrangement and discussion.

• Postgraduate Masters (MSc) in Chemical Engineering with Distinction
• Multiple awards achieved during studies.
• 95th Percentile on UCAT exam and Band 1 Situational Judgement.
• Successful entrepreneur running several businesses
• Taught as a tutor for over 10 years. Students have gone on to various fields including Medicine, Engineering and Science.
• Supported growth of students from foundation level to achieving A grades.
• Experience teaching students with extra study needs and disadvantages.
