About Me
Hi, I’m Aidin—a professional tutor and academic coach with over twelve years of experience, as well as a doctor, scientist, and engineer. My background in medicine, chemistry, and engineering has given me a broad academic foundation, but my true passion lies in helping students grow in confidence, independence, and curiosity.
I believe that learning isn’t the challenge, it’s finding the right approach. I don’t just teach subjects, I coach students on how to learn effectively, ensuring they build confidence, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities that extend far beyond the classroom. My approach blends academic coaching, Socratic questioning, and personalised mentoring, helping students develop lifelong learning skills rather than simply preparing for the next exam.
In 2025 I was shortlisted for National Tutor of the Year (Top 10 nationally), and I am a proud member of the Tutor’s Association, which represents the highest standards of professionalism, safeguarding, and best practice in private tutoring.
The End Goal: Independent, Confident Learners
My goal is simple: to make myself unnecessary. By giving students the tools and mindset to take ownership of their learning, I ensure they no longer depend on tutors but can thrive independently.
For me, success isn’t just higher grades (though those come too)—it’s the student who goes from avoiding questions to leading discussions, from fearing exams to excelling, from passive note-taking to independent thinking. Those are the transformations that last far beyond school.

Availability: I am flexible and accommodating and do my best to match your requirements. I mostly teach online, although I may be able to accommodate face to face tuition with prior arrangement and discussion.

My daughter in Year 10 started tuition with Aidin just a few weeks ago, having struggled for some months on a Triple Science GCSE pathway. Even after just a few lessons, she managed to pass all three sciences in her mocks and was thrilled with her progress - she really wasn`t expecting this result after such a short time. She finds Aidin easy to talk to; he explains the subjects well, and she enjoys the sessions. Aidin ensures that he re-visits previous learning to keep it fresh, and sets work tailored to individual need. As a parent, I find he communicates upcoming lesson arrangements clearly, as well as providing feedback on what he has taught in the sessions and what progress is being made. We look forward to continuing the tuition through to GCSEs next year, and I would recommend Aidin highly.

Aidin’s toolset is both broad and deep, which seems to naturally come from his depth of knowledge and understanding of the subjects. These qualities, coupled with the, care, passion, and preparation that he brings to every session has made a very positive impact on my son’s learning, confidence, and perspective of sciences and maths. Aidin is an excellent tutor. He is very organised. He helped my daughter with ucat prepration and advised her how to overcome gaps to achieve higher score. I recommend him highly as a tutor.Aidin also did moral support and took time out to answer my questions regarding the exam prepration which i highly admire.I really appreciate Aidin`s effort.
