Studying Biomedical Sciences has given me a deeper understanding of the human body whilst equipping me with analytical and methodical skills to apprehend complex research associated with it. I particularly enjoyed modules on human physiology and pathology, specifically cardiovascular disorders.

This further fuelled my interest and upon completing a MSc in Cardiovascular Research I have further established a plethora of skills. The project I took upon investigated the mid term outcomes of 374 patients high risk patients undergoing hybrid revascularisation, during which I was provided access to patient records and observed the surgical techniques to treat peripheral artery disease. From this I gained skills in independently managing a research project, I exhibited critical thinking and analysis and also was able to communicate my research effectively to individuals with different levels of knowledge in the subject.

Working part-time at Heathrow Airport while completing my university education has allowed me to enhance my time-management skills. Having spent time at university, I am confident in my ability to deal with different pressures. Aiming to keep a healthy work-life balance, I have been part of Bhangra society throughout my time at university whilst competing in various national competitions and teaching weekly classes to my peers. This has taught me patience, determination, and leadership skills.
