I have had much experience teaching piano since graduating from the GSMD and RNCM. I have taught for Kent Music and was on the panel for East Sussex as well as teaching for many private school and privately. I believe I am very patient and able to adapt my approach to each individual pupil.
I have taught all ages and levels from beginners to diploma standard.

Availability: No requirements. I am free all week.

Experience: After finishing at the GSMD(A.G.S.M) and the RNCM(post graduate extension study course) in 1980 I spent 3 years at St. Dunstan`s College, London and More House School Knightsbridge. I spent 8 years as a peripatetic piano teacher for Kent Music School and then Vinehall School East Sussex (7 years).
I also taught extensively at Cranbrook Grammar School (7 years).
When working at Claremont Nursery as a nursery assistant I used my skills in a classroom situation and was responsible for the childrens` musical development.
I returned to individual piano teaching at the Discovery School Kent in 2014.
I have much experience in preparing my pupils for both concerts and examinations using Associated Board, Trinity and London College of Music. I also teach theory and aural training.
Since being a pianist can be quite solitary I encourage my pupils to play together either duets or with other instruments. I also like them to play to each other particularly when working for a performance.
