I am a specialist, results-driven English tutor with over four years of experience and a proven track record of helping 200+ students achieve top grades. I am fully qualified across all major UK exam boards — AQA, Edexcel, OCR.
I am not an average tutor. I work exclusively with high-achieving students in Years 10–13, and my tuition is specifically designed to push exceptional students to the very top of the grade range. Please read the following criteria carefully before enquiring:
I only accept GCSE students currently working at Grade 7 or above
I only accept A Level students currently working at Grade B or above
I do not accept students retaking exams
I do not teach SEN/SEND students
I do not teach below Year 10 under any circumstances

When I first heard of Maria, it was through my friend who was also studying GCSE English with me. I’d never done tutoring before, so I wasn’t sure what it would be like. But within the time of studying with Maria, not only did I boost my grades for GCSE, but I also learned to enjoy English Language and Literature. Maria would always make time for me whenever I needed another session—whether it was for an hour or two. In the lead-up to GCSEs, even though she had other students, she always put in an amazing amount of effort: marking papers, giving me extra homework, and providing more notes. So, if you’re thinking of studying with Maria—do it.
