Information about Isabella

I am a passionate, driven, and diligent Masters`s graduate, from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) who strives to help others gain their full potential.

I studied History at the University of Exeter from 2018-2021 and graduated with First Class Honours. During this time I covered a wide range of periods, topics and geographical regions within the Medieval, Early-Modern, and Modern eras. Following this, I commenced an MSc in Gender Studies, specialising in Gender History, Health Policy and Human Rights at LSE. I graduated in December with distinction and won the award for top performer across my course.

Exams and coursework can be really stressful from experience, and I am happy to help anyone who needs that extra support to achieve higher grades and gain confidence in their subjects. I would plan my lesson to suit the student. Doing my homework on their curriculum, and exam board is vital, to better understand what criteria the student needs to be attaining. I will always research the area the student wants help with before our sessions. Practising past papers are great for working on exam technique. I can also teach students a few revision tips which I have put into action myself in the past and have found really helpful. Making the lessons interactive and enjoyable is important to me as this is when we learn the most. I have completed two editorial placements and would be great at reading over essays and coursework at the degree level.

In addition, I was an Art scholar throughout Secondary School and studied it up to A Level before commencing a Foundational Diploma in Art and Design at the University of the Arts London Camberwell. Whether it`s needing help working on Art essays and annotations, exploring Artists, trying out different media, or advice on your work and the direction you want to go, I am here to help.

Availability: I currently have a flexible schedule offering sessions Monday-Saturday.

Willing to travel: 3 miles

Experience: I am currently tutoring A Level History, and Key Stage 2 and 3 English. I have some previous experience tutoring GCSE History and English Literature. I have also completed a work experience placement as a teaching assistant in an Art studio. I have 9 years of experience nannying and helping primary school children with their homework.
