I have a PhD in Comparative Literature from Edinburgh and a Master of Studies in Modern Languages with English from Oxford. I have more than three years of teaching experience in English, Italian, and French language and literature at university level. I have taught a variety of courses of different sizes and levels to both undergraduate and postgraduate students, also designing, preparing, and giving seminars for courses in comparative literature.

I can help students with Italian and English language and literature and with History at any level. I also have expert knowledge of the admission process both at Oxbridge and at other universities, and can offer advice on the different sections of undergraduate and postgraduate applications in the Humanities.

Experience: I am a skilled and enthusiastic individual with more than fifteen years of experience supporting students outside the classroom to meet academic challenges and prepare for examinations. In 2017 I obtained a PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of Edinburgh, where I undertook and published research in English, French, and Italian and tutored undergraduate and postgraduate students in literature and language for more than three years, preparing and teaching a variety of courses of different sizes and levels.

Since then, I have been tutoring privately in English and Italian language and literature and in History, preparing students for assessment with the main GCSE and A Level examination boards. Evaluating students’ learning capabilities and needs, helping them through assignments, and suggesting new learning techniques are just a few of the areas in which I excel. In the past fifteen years I have utilised engaging, hands-on educational methods to facilitate a fun, personalised approach to learning while stimulating students’ enjoyment and appreciation for the subjects.
