Information about Sonya

I completed my teach first placement in 2018 and subsequently taught in a number of schools and colleges at levels KS3-5 across South London as well as providing after school tutoring for various students mostly at key stage 4.
One of my private students increased his English Language grade from a level three to a level five during my time working with him and I hope to be able to support others to make similar achievements.
I have a first class degree from the University of Manchester in English and American Studies as well as my PGCE from Canterbury Christchurch University.
Since I moved back to Sussex in 2021 I’m no longer in the classroom full time but still work in and am passionate about education.
The range of texts I have taught includes the following: An Inspector Calls, A Christmas Carol, The strange case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, Of Mice and Men, Beowulf, Oliver Twist, Macbeth, Othello, A Midsummer Night`s dream, Much Ado about Nothing, The Merchant of Venice, AQA power and conflict and love and relationships poetry.
I’m familiar with software such as google hangouts, google docs, zoom and Microsoft teams and happy either to provide online tutoring or travel to you if you live in the Lewes or Eastbourne area.
If you’re looking for someone to provide extra support at any stage of your school career, then I look forward to hearing from you.

Availability: After 6.30 pm Tuesday-Friday. (Could potentially do every other Saturday or Sunday morning).
