James- worked for a number of years as a university researcher in computational mathematics, before deciding to enter the world of teaching. Enjoys sharing his enthusiasm for maths with students of all abilities, and helping them succeed in their courses.

James has increased our daughters confidence with Maths. She was really struggling and was getting low scores in her test papers. Since James`s tuition she has increased her percentage each time, hopefully she will achieve her pass in Maths. Our daughter says he is a great tutor, he is very friendly and enabled her to understand the concept in areas she needed to focus on. Your child needs to be motivated to do well, which our daughter was, he has helped her in all areas. We would highly recommend you have James as your first choice.

Put simply, James was fantastic. He stepped in late to help our son following a road traffic accident which had caused him to fall back. James quickly worked out what was needed and stepped in. Feedback from our son was that the lessons were well prepared, clear and efficient and that James has a very clear way of explaining things and working things out. We can’t thank James enough for his guidance, flexibility and teaching methods. If you are considering an A Level maths tutor I can think of no higher praise than to say I’d chose James again in an instant.

My son has found James to be clear, patient, and easy to follow, never rushing through any concepts, making sure he understood each step before moving on. His ability to break down complex problems into simpler, more manageable pieces. This not only made A-level Math less intimidating but also gave me a deeper understanding of how to approach different types of issues. He adopts an organised, well-structured teaching framework.
