Information about Jan
I`m a Mathematics student at the University of Manchester. I obtained grades of 98% in Advanced Mathematics and 100% in Basic Mathematics in my Polish Matura exams (equivalent to A* in Mathematics A-levels). Having experience with both English and Polish educational systems, I have a broad view on the methodology of teaching Mathematics, which enables me to adjust my ways of tutoring to fully unlock the student`s potential.
It is important for a good tutor to have significant achievements in the subject that he teaches. Some of my most important awards in Mathematics include:
- Laureate of VIII and IX Polish Junior Mathematical Olympiads in the years 2013-2014 (this means I was within about 80 of the best young mathematicians in Poland).
- 1st place in the province, 32nd place in Poland in Mathematical Competition MAT in year 2014.
- 1st place individually and 1st place in groups (3 people) in VIII edition (2016) and 1st place individually and 2nd place in groups in VII edition (2015) in the Mathematical Competition of Biał;ystok University of Technology.

Experience: Having been the best mathematician among my peers at school, I have been the go-to person whenever one of my colleagues had problems with maths. Here in Manchester, I have been helping my flatmate (who studies Economics as a part of his course) with mathematics. In his own words, he was impressed with the way I was able to break down the problems into steps which he could easily follow.
