Hello...

I am an enthusiastic and experienced primary school teacher and tutor who is committed to helping children build a love of learning.

I work with children from Nursery to Year 6 (3-11yrs) and have particular experience supporting children with additional educational needs (including but not exclusive to English as an Additional Language, Autism, Dyslexia and ADHD).

Additionally, I specialise in working with children that lack confidence in their ability and those that may be reluctant to take part in learning activities for different reasons. Whether online or face-to-face, I create a warm and engaging learning environment (involving reward charts, treat boxes/virtual treat ‘shops’, rhymes/songs, interactive games and tasks specifically catered to each individual child`s interests) which builds confidence and enjoyment of the content.

As well as working with children that need specific support, I also carry out general fun learning sessions to keep brains active when out of school and have experience with providing specific tasks that involve higher-order thinking for gifted and talented children.

I have a thorough understanding of the Primary National Curriculum and the required content throughout the Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Furthermore, I am very familiar with independent school`s admissions processes (4+ to 11+) and have successfully supported a large number of children in achieving entrance to their chosen school(s).

I offer the first lesson free to compensate for the website charge and to allow you to make sure you are completely happy (and hopefully thrilled!) with the service that I provide.

Experience: Many years ago, I worked in the world of Fashion PR before completing a PGCE at The University of Roehampton.

I have experience working at underprivileged state maintained schools in addition to working at a state school ranked amongst the best in the country.

For the last 7 years, I have been working in the independent sector at a high profile school in Knightsbridge followed by an inspirational school in Putney.

I have DBS (CRB), First Aid and Safeguarding certificates.
