I am a friendly (I really am !), knowledgeable, enthusiastic tutor of A-level Mathematics and Further Mathematics.
Let me start by saying that I honestly believe that laughing together assists learning.
So, throughout my teaching career, I take great joy in establishing excellent rapport with students under my tutelage; my personal opinion is that students learn best in a relaxed, friendly yet purposeful environment.

At the same time, I am absolutely, totally 100% confident that I will provide you with excellent mathematics tuition.

Onto the more factual stuff ….

I am retired from teaching A-level Mathematics and A-level Further Mathematics, following many years’ experience, at the very successful Winstanley College, near Wigan.
Since retiring, I have tutored many students so I am fully aware of the demands of all exam board syllabuses.
I have successfully taught all branches of A-level Maths and Further Maths: pure maths, statistics and mechanics, and I am expert in all of these.
I am an experienced Maths examiner, having marked A-level papers for 20+ years. Examiners are graded, and I have always received the highest grade. I know exactly what examination mark schemes require.

In addition, I have proved myself to be a diligent classroom practitioner, forming very positive relationships with my students and working well with my colleagues to achieve the excellent results expected by my college. I carefully plan student lessons and effectively engage my students in their learning; I mark and assess student work accurately and constructively.
