Growing up, I was never confident when it came to school and studying. I found it very difficult and also quite boring at times. However, it wasn`t until I got to Year 9 that I had a teacher tell me that she believed in me and had faith that I could do very well in my studies and to not lose hope. Since then, I have always pushed myself to work as hard as I can and to believe in myself. This is why I love doing what I do and why I plan to become a teacher in the near future.
Maths is a subject that we all dread and worry about. It is like a huge mountain that isn`t always easy to overcome. However, in my sessions, I will work with you to chip away at this mountain and climb over it as anyone can do maths - we just have to believe in ourselves and abilities. My sessions will be spent breaking down terms and addressing any misconceptions. I will use our sessions to ensure you understand the topic at hand and go over exam questions to really cement your understanding of the topics we are covering.
I will use our sessions to hear about your worries and concerns when it comes to Maths and English and I will do my best to instil the same belief and confidence that my teacher once gave me.
Our sessions will be led by you and your needs, whatever you are struggling on, we can work through it together. We will work as a team and I will do my best to ensure that you leave every session feeling confident and not confused.

Experience: I am currently doing my PGCE Primary Teaching Degree specialising in Maths at UCL. I currently am teaching Year 6 students on a daily basis, covering a range of lessons including Maths, English and Science. Alongside this, I host 1:1 and Group sessions for my students during their lunch breaks or after school, leading intervention sessions to support them in their in learning.

I have also previously worked as a tutor in a primary school, working with Year 6 children who had fallen behind in their learning. I led booster sessions as well as 1:1 sessions with my students to ensure that they are confident with topics that they had either missed in class or not understood in class.

Beyond a school environment, in my previous roles at Adidas and Central 23, I led training sessions for new employees to ensure they are fully prepared and qualified for the role. This also included hosting Q+A sessions for employees on a daily basis so that they can ask me questions on topics/issues they have come across whilst working.
