Information about Saleena

Sincerity with a sense of humour and boundless energy these are the words I would use to describe my character. I`m a fun loving professional teacher who is searching for students to share my enthusiasm for learning. I am a successful teacher. I understand that children learn at different speeds and in a variety of ways teaching isn’t a formula which you can simply follow, as every child is unique. However my personal success lies in resilience, determination and team work. I determine to ensure standards, I strive to implement creativity, I revel in inspiring, receiving and imparting knowledge. This buzz is infectious and my children can’t help but revel in it too. Whether I’m teaching in a classroom or tutoring from home for an hour or a year, you give me an outcome, and the children and I will get there together.
Professional and adaptable would be my teaching mantra, I will always try to get to know the children first and as quickly as possible. Each session is an hour long and will focus the child by compromising of different activities to maintain concentration. To help keep expectations high I have created a support pack which includes writing aids such as connectives lists, success criteria, generic marking codes (for immediate self assessment) and even grapheme charts. The pack also includes a separate maths section with key word links to operations and laminated key fact clues like number bonds. To keep standards high I always try to quickly establish steps to success, sharing outcomes, team work and productive partners. In order to excite and engage the children I have a goody box and sticker charts for encouragement.

With 12 years of teaching under my belt I have honestly taught the same objectives at least 5 times! I will teach the children exactly as I would in a classroom, we will review basic skills and advance through them, but the difference is, when children struggle we can stop and review the skill until it is learnt. I recommend spending an hour looking at one subject i.e. English or Maths.
My offers are
1. Only 4 children in a group (2 places remain available on Thursday and 4 places on Wednesday)
2. Single child tuition at a higher rate available
3. Sibling discount available
Each child will have a personal file and all books and stationary provided. I work with parents and listen to their concerns, and I also offer a teacher liaison service. This means I can work on targets from school so that I can help them progress in class too!
I hope you have found my profile interesting, please feel free to call the number provided to ask any further questions you may have. I have only 6 places available. So please call to book a space to avoid disappointment.

Experience: During my permanent teaching posts (spanning just under 12 years) I have had the pleasure of successfully leading year groups, French, Science, DT while also leading extra-curricular activities like an award winning dance troop who have performed at the O2 and won local and regional competitions. I would blatantly claim that my previous classrooms have been run successfully with FOUR Ofsted inspections under my belt, I have been in the past graded good (NQT year) with two outstanding grades (one as PPA cover teacher) before the grading system was changed. Last year 95% of my students made above average progress which lead to my achievement of becoming an advance skills teacher.
