I am a Literature specialist with tutoring and teaching experience at all levels and ages in English Literature and Language. I graduated from Edge Hill University in 2024 with a First class degree with honours in English Literature; and I am currently living in the heart of Bowness to complete my Masters in English Literature, Romanticism, and The Lake District.

I have an innate passion for Literature and this enthusiam shines in my teaching and tutoring. The opportunity to encourage others and build their skills and confidence in English is my driving motivation to work in this field. My recent qualifications and current work experience in schools ensure that I possess the latest knowledge of current exam specifications.

I tailor my sessions to the tutees needs and create learning resources catered to each individual. Prior to the first session, I typically ask for some information about what they are struggling with and what their interests are so I can prepare the material in advance of our sessions.

I often work with students who have struggled with their attendance in school due to a variety of reasons, and support them in gaining a full understanding of what has been missed. I offer a judgement free, fresh approach to tutoring and learning as we all need support from one time to another.

Experience: I currently remotely work with a 14-19 specialist school targeting progress and attainment in English Language and Literature at GCSE and A Level. Prior to this, I worked as a Librarian during my undergraduate degree, focusing on reader development strategies and literacy skills with children aged 4-12. I gained a First class degree with honours in English Literature in the summer of 2024, and I am currently predicted a Distinction in my Masters degree specialising in English Literature, Romanticism, and The Lake District.
