As a holder of enhanced DBS certification, I have worked in many secondary schools in Cambridgeshire. Working closely with overstretched departments, and providing input, on best practice. Gaining a reputation for inspiring "disinterested" students. Very aware of "new" GCSE and "A" level specifications and exams.

Previously, I was a Forensic Scientist for 12 years, having studied marine biology and biochemistry at university, gaining a BSc(hons).
Then gaining a teaching qualification.
I am Passionate about education, general knowledge buff and most importantly Daddy to my two children.

Most importantly I know how to engage students, demonstrating that learning is fun, enjoyable and empowering. I recognise the importance of different personalities and hence learning style. I use a VARK (visual, aural, reading, and kinesthetic) system to identify and target learning style.

I want to put something back into society and what better way than empowering the next generation. I relish developing a students knowledge, in a fun and entertaining manner. The look of satisfaction on a students face that now understands is priceless.
