Information about Oliver
Im Oliver and last September I graduated from Oxford University with a Masters in Maths and Philosophy (MMathPhil, Second Class Division One). Before that I was a student at Queen Elizabeths Hospital School in Bristol where I achieved A Levels in Mathematics (A*), Philosophy and Ethics (A), Chemistry (A), and AS Level Further Mathematics (A) and AS Level Biology (A).
I teach Maths at GCSE level and the following A-Level modules: C1, C2, C3, C4, FP1, S1, S2, M1, M2.
I can teach Philosophy and Ethics/Religious Studies GCSE and A-Level but this depends on the content as the boards differ and I am not familiar with all of it.
I also coach students through the OXBRIDGE application process including: entrance exam coaching (MAT), mock interviews, personal statement feedback (for any degree including Maths or Philosophy).
Availability: I am very flexible.
Willing to travel: 2 miles
Experience: I have been tutoring five students through tutorhunt since mid January and I am very keen to work with more students.
In the summer of 2018 I volunteered for a month teaching maths at a gifted and talented summer school in Kenya to 16-18yo. In the summer of 2019 I worked at a maths camp in Accra, Ghana and also coordinated a maths camp in Yaounde, Cameroon.
In sixth form I ran a lunchtime drop in session for students struggling with GCSE maths. Additionally, at university I coached many applicants through the admissions process.
