I grew up with a close relative with learning difficulties and wanted to learn more about how I could support them with their learning and development. I always enjoyed learning maths and from a young age would try to share what I knew with them but noticed that things like counting and addition were a challenge for them to grasp. In a short space of time, I became curious about how others processed numbers and maths concepts.
I went on to spend over 10 years teaching maths in inner London secondary schools. But this year (2026) I made the difficult decision to leave the classroom and tutor maths full time.

Availability: Wednesdays 5pm-7pm.
Thursdays 10am-6pm.
Flexible times on weekends.
Also available for home education during school hours on Mondays Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Experience: A qualified teacher with over 10 years teaching experience in inner London and a former Key Stage 3 Maths Lead at a highly reputable secondary school. I have taught maths across all year groups at secondary school level and have plenty of experience working with SEND learners. I had at least one small group of year 8s and/or 9s to teach each year in the last 5 years and have a deep understanding of the needs of different learners and how to adapt my lessons to make them as engaging as possible.
