A warm and approachable maths tutor who, in the first instance, aims to create a safe space for students so that as much learning as possible can take place.
I am also a mother of 2, currently working as a supply teacher to primary schools in Lewisham and Greenwich alongside private tutoring at secondary level.
I am committed to my role as a tutor and would be determined to tutor individuals all the way up to their exams.

Availability: Flexible with availability after school on Mondays Tuesdays and Thursdays until 7pm.

Experience: I am a former Key Stage 3 Coordinator and Teacher of Mathematics with over 10 years teaching experience at secondary level. Over 9 of those years were spent teaching at a highly reputable secondary school in Fulham.
My teaching career saw the change from letter grades at GCSE to number grades. With this came a new syllabus and a new style of exam questions. This has allowed me to appreciate the differences between the old-style exam questions and the current maths GCSE which tests for depth of understanding. As a result, I have a lot of experience teaching from a rote learning perspective as well as for problem-solving. I am also a GCSE Mathematics Examiner and know what to look out for in exams and how best to prepare for them.
At the moment I am broadening my teaching experience, working as a supply teacher to local primary schools and continuing to develop my knowledge and teaching practice at Key Stages 1 and 2.
