Eleanor

Hello, my name is Eleanor and I am currently a Year 6 Teaching Assistant in a primary school. This will be my third year working in year 6 and supporting SATs preparation. I am able to support with Maths and Literacy (including Reading and spelling) SATs prep for Year 6 children.

When working 1:1 with a student I like to tailor my teaching to suit the child’s needs by using a variety of resources and learning techniques. In my current role I am frequently supporting children with Special Educational Needs as well as the children who need that extra 1:1 or small group support with their learning. I also have experience of teaching online via Teams, but I can also use Zoom if required.

Availability: I am available most weekdays after school and in the evening for tutoring. We can do sessions weekly or fortnightly depending on your requirements.

Experience: I graduated from The University of Winchester with a BSc in Psychology. Before becoming a TA I worked for a behaviour support charity specialising in interventions. This involved supporting a range of children to re-engage with learning, including those with specific learning needs and mental health difficulties. As a result, I have a wide knowledge of techniques and approaches to help support children in their learning. I am currently working as a Year 6 Teaching Assistant, specialising in 1-1 and small group support for Maths, Reading and Literacy (SATS). I have experience of overseeing and marking practice SATS exams as well as experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
