I believe the key to a successful relationship with a student is to treat him or her as an individual, with individual needs. Therefore I always pay close attention to the student`s reasons for acquiring private tuition, and the goals that they aim to achieve. I combine the requirements of the curriculum with areas of the subject that the student wishes to concentrate upon.

I have worked alongside people from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures and pride myself on being open minded and able to easily build rapports.

I employ an interactive style of teaching. Rote learning or the act of churning out facts and figures are one-dimensional forms of acquiring knowledge. I find fully engaging the student to be a far more valuable exercise, inducing a greater level of interest and retention of material.

Availability: Week nights and all day weekends.

Willing to travel: 30 miles

Experience: CELTA and also some undergraduate teaching.
