I am an enthusiastic, patient primary school teacher who has been teaching for 15 years. I enjoy working with children and have experience tutoring children ages 4-11, including many children with special educational needs or an EHCP. I like to engage children by adapting my teaching to the child`s needs and using their interests and hobbies to help them understand concepts.

Availability: I am flexible in my tutoring hours and am happy to negotiate a time which will suit your family. Previously I have tutored weekday evenings or Saturday mornings. I am also available during the daytime Monday to Wednesday and have tutored pupils who are homeschooled during these hours previously. Although I specialise in primary school age children, I am happy to tutor pupils in year 7,8 or 9.

Experience: I have been working as a primary school teacher for the past 15 years and have experience teaching children across all year groups from ages 4 to 11. I am particularly experienced in Year 5 and 6, preparing children for their end of Key Stage 2 tests of 11+ exams for secondary school. I have also had vast experience working with Year 1 children in reading and phonics. Recently I have worked with a few children with developmental needs or autism who are working within the Early Years Curriculum.
