I am very sociable, have a good sense of humour (contrary to what`s being said about the Germans!) and enjoy a relaxed, friendly working relationship with my students. I know from my experience as a language learner that being tense definitely doesn`t help your learning!

However, I`m also a bit demanding and expect my students do try and do some additional work at home to enhance their learning and speed it up. I always suggest what should be done as homework to revise and remember what the student has learned in the session.

Availability: I am normally flexible but I prefer not to work at weekends on a regular basis.

I teach from home - physically or online - but am also willing to travel a short distance to a student`s home.

Experience: I am a native speaker of German with 30 years’ experience in teaching students of all age groups and levels in schools, colleges, companies and on a one-to-one basis.
I have been teaching students at 6th-forms (A-level) at secondary schools, at colleges for Further Education, at Kingston University and at Adult Education centres, preparing them for their GCSE and A-level exams. I also teach or coach private students, on a one to one basis, and groups of learners in businesses, adapting to their specific individual, specified requirements and goals.
In my teaching practice I have also worked as a teacher-examiner (mainly for the oral exams) for AQA and Edexcel and I am very familiar with the requirements of these boards of examination.
