Hi! I am Stevy and I am a second year medical student at the University of Southampton. I am passionate about helping students overcome challenges in their GCSE and A-level studies, enabling them to build confidence and excel in their exams. Having recently completed my A-levels in OCR MEI B Maths, OCR A Chemistry, and EDUQAS (WJEC) Biology, I understand the demands of these subjects and the strategies needed to succeed.
I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can strengthen their understanding, master exam techniques, and approach their exams with confidence. In addition to subject tutoring, I am also happy to assist with the medicine application process, offering guidance on personal statements and conducting mock interviews to help students prepare effectively.
I look forward to helping students reach their full potential and achieve their academic goals!
Availability: I’m available weekday evenings and anytime after 12pm on weekends.

Experience: During my time in college, I was actively involved in supporting Year 12 students through biology and chemistry workshops. In these sessions, I helped students deepen their understanding of complex topics and guided them through exam-style questions to improve their problem-solving skills and exam techniques. This experience allowed me to develop my ability to explain challenging concepts clearly and adapt my teaching approach to different learning styles.
Additionally, I have worked as a medicine interview tutor at Aspiring Medics, where I have conducted one-on-one mock interviews with students preparing for medical school admissions. This role has given me extensive experience in coaching students on key interview techniques, including Multiple Mini Interviews (MMIs) and panel-style questions. I have provided tailored feedback to help students refine their responses, build confidence, and develop the communication skills necessary for success in medical interviews.
Academically, I achieved grade 9s in 10 subjects at GCSE, including Maths, Further Maths, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. I also completed an EPQ, earning an A*. In my A-levels, I studied OCR MEI B Maths, OCR A Chemistry, and EDUQAS (WJEC) Biology. My strong academic background and preparation strategies enabled me to receive all four of my medical school offers from the University of Southampton, University of Birmingham, University of Exeter, and Cardiff University.
Through these experiences, I have developed strong teaching and mentoring skills, allowing me to effectively support students at both GCSE and A-level in their academic studies and medical school applications.

GCSE MATH Resit My son enjoyed Stevy`s math lessons. I can see that there is a significant improvement in his knowledge, as well as he`s also gained a lot of confidence in maths. Her patience, encouragement and organisation made learning maths much less stressful. My son would also like to say " Stevy has given me so much support within the two months that I had in preparation for my November GCSE MATH Resit Higher papers; with her tips and organisation to her lessons and worksheets, which were tailored to mistakes which I`ve made on previous worksheets or past papers, really helped me understand what to focus on and stay organised. Overall, with her knowledge, skills and advice, it has helped me significantly, and I am pleased to have a tutor like her. " We are truly thankful to you. I would recommend Stevy.

We started with biology lessons for my daughter, but because of how good Stevy is, we added chemistry as well. Stevy is patient, kind, flexible, and explains concepts clearly, making even the most difficult topics easy to understand. My daughter uses flashcards, and she takes the time during each lesson to review them with her, reinforce key concepts, and go over practice questions which has been a huge help. Since working with Stevy, my daughter’s confidence has grown tremendously, and her grades have improved significantly. My daughter enjoys her lessons with her and looks forward to them. Stevy’s dedication and personalised approach truly make a difference. We are very grateful for her support and highly recommend her to anyone looking for an excellent tutor.
