Information about Heather
Fully qualified and highly experienced teacher; currently Assistant Head of Department delivering lesson content to KS3, KS4 and KS5 students.
I can tutor the following subjects at both A Level and GCSE level: Religious Studies, Politics, Philosophy and Ethics.
The primary function of my job role is to ensure student progress and identify students that require some specific intervention to ensure their success.
I have experience teaching students with a variety of SEN needs and always ensure I incorporate Quality First Teaching strategies to support all students progress.
I am an examination marker for multiple exam boards and which allows me to have a really good understanding of how to achieve high marks.
I am able to tutor online, in person and willing to tutor groups of students.

Experience: I have taught ages 11-19 throughout my career. I currently deliver KS3, 4 and 5 content on a variety of subjects.
My degree is in Politics, Religion and Philosophy (University of Birmingham) - I can tutor each of these subjects with confidence. I achieved a 2:1 grade in my degree alongside the highest grade across the political science cohort for my dissertation.
I completed my PGDipEd Religious Studies (Qualified Teaching Status) also at the University of Birmingham.
I also have a distinction grade masters degree in Teaching Studies; in addition to my undergraduate degree dissertation, I also achieved the highest grade for my dissertation across the cohort for my masters degree dissertation.
I am currently the Assistant Head of my Department and I have an active role in ensuring student progress.
