I have been teaching mathematics for over 10 years. I was a teacher in my last teaching position in a school for 8 years teaching GCSE and A Level Mathematics . I have worked with high ability students and many of them achieved a grade 9. Mathematical reasoning, fluency and problem solving are at the forefront of my lessons as this is what the new GCSE spec entails. Exam question practice is embedded into my lessons. I have worked closely with foundation grade students enabling them to grasp skills that will help them navigate through adult life.
I am a graduate from Queen Mary University with a Bachelors Honours degree in Economics and Finance . I have studied Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Accounting for my A Levels. I have always loved maths from a very young age and this passion has not left me. It is this passion that drives me to help others achieve the best they can and more in their education. I have worked with students with special educational needs as well as looked after children. I have also taught students who are home schooled.
Availability: Weekends. Weekday mornings and evenings.

Experience: I have been teaching KS3, GCSE and A Level Mathematics for over 10 years. I have taught higher and foundation tier students at high schools with students ranging from age 11-18. This includes students with SEN and EAL students too. I currently work part time with home schooled students doing iGCSE and also tutor mathematics online and face to face.
As every student is an individual this also means their learning style varies too. I like to get to know my students in order to implement strategies that will maximise their learning experience. I tend to use interleaved practice in my teaching so that students constantly have to tackle questions from previous and parents topics they are studying. This is to ensure that topics they have covered in their past are not simply just forgotten, they can be retrieved easily. For GCSE students, exam questions are embedded into their lessons throughout the year; not just before their exams only.
