Oxford Graduate and Theoretical Physics PhD Based in Durham, Teaches Mathematics and Physics for A-level and Aspiring Oxbridge Students, and select Undergraduate Courses. I have achieved a first in my 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year at university with an average grade of 86%. As for my A Levels, I did Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry and achieved A*A*A*A respectively.
Availability: Every weekday from 10 am to 7 pm.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: My teaching style relies on a collaborative approach to problem-solving, introducing and demonstrating new ideas and working together to solve more complicated examples to develop experience and build confidence.
My approach to teaching does not stop at the boundaries of set curricula, as I believe the goal of teaching should always be deeper understanding as opposed to rote memorisation. Wherever possible and/or appropriate, I like to introduce novel ideas and extra-curricular problems to provide greater context and foster curiosity about the field.
I have a Masters in Mathematical and Theoretical Physics from the University of Oxford where I graduated with distinction in the top 10 of my cohort. I am now very close to finishing my PhD in Mathematical Physics at the University of Durham. Aside from my vast academic experience, I have also been teaching at all levels starting from GCSE going all the way up to undergraduate courses in Mathematics and Physics over a span of nearly 10 years.
I offer either 1 or 2-hour sessions, usually online to facilitate my otherwise busy schedule, but open to face-to-face sessions where possible. While my lessons are always customised to cater to the needs of the pupil, I have seen in the past that the students that benefit most from my tuition and guidance are those already working at a high level, wanting to cover the gap between a B and an A, or an A and an A*.
