Experience: During my time in secondary school I undertook the role as a peer mentor which entailed assisting younger students in their studies. I helped them with study skills, as well as English, Maths, History, French and Spanish homework/coursework.

As I am a student (and it wasn`t too long ago that I too was studying for my GCSEs and A-levels), I have a great understanding of the level of stress that exams can inflict on students, as well as the level of organisation and discipline it takes to excel. This will enable me to build a good rapport with my students, which I believe is vital for their learning and encouragement. I want my students to see me as a friend that they feel comfortable around and can confide in for all matters, academic or not. In my view, striking a balance between a friendly atmosphere and a disciplined one is key to creating the perfect studying environment.
