Mohammed Mustakim

Hello there! I`m Mohammed, and I am committed to delivering high quality teaching sessions to my students.

I am a 5th year Student Doctor at the St Georges University of London, with a 2nd Class, Division I degree in cell and molecular biology. At A level I studied Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Economics as well as an EPQ from Wilson`s School, where I achieved the required grades necessary to get into medicine. As a tutor I have worked for the last 5 years, and I have also helped students with interview preparation during my time so far at university.

I was appointed as a senior prefect during my time at Wilsons for the 2016/7 school year. At GCSE level I have achieved 7A*s in Maths, Further Maths, Religious Studies, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Business Studies. In English Language and Literature, French, Geography and Latin, I achieved As. . For AS levels I studied Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Economics, achieving As in all of these subjects. I chose these subjects with the purpose of studying medicine and I received offers to study medicine from the St Georges, Manchester and Southampton from October 2017.

Having taken the 11+, numerous tests at secondary school as well as my GCSEs, A levels and 4 years of medical school exams, I am aware of what examiners desire and can empathise how many topics that can seem daunting when first approaching them. I enjoy being able to help people achieve their full potential, and feel more confident with their studies.

When teaching, I first ask the student what areas of a topic they struggle in, so that an initial target can be set. I like to make my lessons both challenging but enjoyable for the students, as a means to help them continuously improve their subject knowledge- as well as to gauge how they will do.

I am a very patient and understanding teaching and willing to alter my teaching to best suit each individual. I look forward to to offering up my support.

Experience: 5 years of working as a private tutor, as well as at tutoring centres, such as test teach
1 year of tutoring children in sciences and another year in tutoring children in healthcare related PSHE- as a part of a university programme designed to help children from underprivileged backgrounds

I Specialise in teaching both Biology and Chemistry, as well as in 11plus preparation, having lots of success in both of these areas
