I have a BSc Hons 2:1 in Economics from Bath University and a PGCE in Economics and Maths from Warwick University. I work exclusively as a private tutor after 25 years of teaching Economics at A level. My approach is to be supportive in helping the student to achieve their goals, no student should ever feel embarrassed about asking a question. I encourage the student to lead the session on the topics they want to cover and I try to find out what hobbies and interests they have so that they can relate Economics to the real world.
I set work for the student to complete so that we can progress check their knowledge and exam technique. MY STUDENTS CONSISTENTLY ACHIEVE EXCELLENT GRADES. MOST GAIN A OR A* IN A LEVEL BUSINESS/ECONOMICS. LEVEL 6-8 AT GCSE MATHS

I have also taught and tutored Business Studies for 29 years. Last year I had 7 A level students of 6 achieved an A grade. I have been an exam marker for AQA at A level so I am able to teach students the analytical and evaluative techniques that are required. I also have a wide range os source materials to draw on which is important for the longer case study questions at A2.

Many students study both Economics and Business Studies and I can offer split sessions if the student needs them

I have successfully tutored Maths for Common Entrance Examination, GCSE and IGCSE level for 5 years. I am very flexible in my approach and I use many of the visual techniques used in Singapore to help convey topics like fractions that many students find difficult.

I help to organise and run intensive revision courses in London and Sussex.I also have a lot of experience in preparing students for exams through developing their understanding and their exam technique.
