Vassilis

I am an award winning music teacher, composer, sound artist and performer (Cretan lyra, mandolin, guitar, vocals). I am currently conducting a practice-based PhD research on Composition at Bath Spa University. I have an MA in Performance Design and Practice from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, and a joint BA and MA in Music Composition from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

I have performed Cretan and experimental music in the UK (venues including Green Note, SOAS University, Hollywell Oxford and Vortex), Greece and Germany in various festivals, concerts, exhibitions and intermedia performances.

I have taught music composition, theory and instrumental performance to people of all ages and backgrounds, including at Higher Education level (Bath Spa University, TEI of Epirus).

Availability: Weekdays & Weekends 9AM - 8 PM

Experience: I have more than 15 years of experience in teaching composition, music theory, Cretan lyra, mandolin, guitar and ukulele to students of various ages and levels, ranging from complete beginners to Higher Education students (Bath Spa University, Technological Educational Institute of Epirus).

I am a qualified teacher of music (QTS).

My approach on teaching (which is a way to share music with others), my methodology and my experience guarantee a reliable and confident guidance on the students chosen subject.

Being a native Greek speaker, I also teach Greek language with excellent results.
