I am a English Literature and Language graduate from King`s College London. I am a friendly and hard-working individual who is always keen to help others as well as gain more knowledge. I always try to teach in engaging and creative ways. Therefore, I use a range of resources and tools when tutoring (this includes writing exemplars for students) and want my students to engage with a topic on more than one level. I can appreciate the fact that children learn in different ways whether that be audio or visual. Therefore, I adapt my teaching style to suit the student.

Experience: I have been tutoring for 4 years now and this has involved tutoring on a one to one basis as well as teaching groups of students. I compose detailed weekly lesson plans to support students as they prepare for their GCSE English exams while teaching essential aspects of writing a paper, how to devise a thesis or create a conclusion. Ultimately, I hope to empower students to be confident and accurate in their creative ideas when tackling exam questions.

I have worked extensively with young people. For example, during my time at university I helped facilitate numerous workshops with teenagers from East London schools in an event called ‘Getting into University’ which ran for the last three years. Within this event, I had to contact various schools, speaking with heads of departments to take part in our event. I also had to organise speakers from university to deliver speeches and workshops from various subject backgrounds (from medicine to geography). Creating and successfully delivering such events is evidence of my organisational and interpersonal skills.
