I am a law graduate with a single honours law degree graded at a 2:1 from King’s College London. Throughout this degree I achieved a first class grade in several modules including a 10,000 word written dissertation. Alongside this, I am in the process of being awarded my final grade for a masters degree at the University of Leeds. Further, I currently work as a trainee teacher for GCSE English where I work with students with a range of abilities and goals.

Teaching is my passion, I love nothing more than helping students achieve their goals. My teaching approach is tailored to the individual student. I always offer an additional free 15 minutes at the start of their first session to understand their current situation and what they are hoping to achieve from tutoring. Alongside this, I provide all of my students with a revision pack which contains various proven techniques to help them understand and retain the subject matter.

My teaching primarily focuses on the specification relating to the students specific exam. Learning consists of both understanding the content and practicing exam questions to improve skills both in essay writing and answering problem questions. I do regularly offer opportunities for students to receive feedback and their learning is usually adapted to give them opportunities to improve on their weaker areas.

Alongside this I am happy to have discussions regarding university whether that be applying to study a degree or skills that can help students start strong in their studies.

Experience: I’m a Law graduate having achieved a 2:1 degree from King’s College London and now studying a Masters in Intellectual Property Law at the University of Leeds. In my final year of my undergraduate, I was able to attain a first class in three out of four of my modules, one of which was a written research dissertation.

My previous experience in tutoring involves both helping international students improve their English and reading skills where my students won awards for being the most improved in their cohort. Alongside this, I am I work as a trainee teacher in a secondary school where I am working to achieve PGCE and QTS status.
