Information about Tom

Hiya! I`m a Biomedical Science graduate and now study Medicine at St George`s University of London. Alongside Medicine I hold a manager position at a restaurant in Balham and I run my own freelance Graphic Design business.

Both these jobs allow me to be very flexible with my schedule so I`m available to tutor almost every evening and all day on the weekends. I`m currently available to tutor Physics and Chemistry GCSE as well as Biology A-level and GCSE.

Availability: I`m currently between Brixton, Balham and Tooting but I`m willing to travel all over south London. I`m available most weekdays & all Weekends.

Willing to travel: 3 miles

Experience: For three years I tutored students at College and School studying for their GCSE`s and A-Levels in the Sciences and Maths.

Following this, for the last two years, I have held revision classes for undergraduate students at St George`s University studying Biomedical Science.

I am the oldest of 5 siblings ranging from 10 to 18, apart from developing astonishing patience, I understand how our learning styles change as we age and incorporate this into my lessons.

Throughout my years of studying and teaching, I have really honed in on what makes studying enjoyable and effective. I steer away from solely repetition work and aim more to deliver a deeper understanding of the subject through mnemonics and a spiral curriculum, meaning learning is reinforced as complexity increases each time a topic is visited.

I know that it`s important to keep learning both enjoyable and interesting so minigames, flashcards, quizzes and silly mnemonics are just some of the ways I love to teach.
