Information about Rebecca
I am a postgraduate law student and will start my training to become a solicitor in September 2023.
I studied philosophy for 6 years the University of Glasgow, but also took courses in Classical Civilisation and English Literature.
My particular interests in philosophy are metaphysics, epistemology and contemporary ethics.
I look forward to meeting you and seeing how I can support you in your studies.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: During my year abroad, I volunteered weekly at a school to assist children with reading. I loved this experience!
I am currently mentoring an aspiring solicitor - guiding her through the application process for training contracts by reviewing applications, providing support and offering mock interviews.
I am looking forward to tutoring philosophy - applying the knowledge gained through my own studies and applying the skills gained through my voluntary experiences.
Although I am currently studying law, I continue to study philosophy in my own time. I have co-authored an academic paper with my former lecturer and plan to undertake more projects in the future.
I have enjoyed proofreading and reviewing my friends essays and dissertations - in philosophy and in English literature. In my own dissertation (focused on modal realism in metaphysics), I achieved 21 out of 22.
