I am a fully qualified teacher of Science with over 30 years of teaching experience. I have a BSc Honours in Chemistry from the University of Exeter, and a PGCE, also from the University of Exeter. I teach Key stage 3 Science, GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics, and A Level Chemistry. I have been a full-time permanent teacher at the Astley Cooper School for 12 years.

Experience: I worked at my first school in North London, for 2 years, as a Chemistry teacher. I taught Key Stage 3 Science, GCSE Chemistry and A Level Chemistry. After that, I taught a number of short-term contracts of one or two terms at a variety of schools in London and the surrounding counties, in order to combine teaching with travelling. I travelled extensively in Turkey and learned to speak Turkish. When I had my only child in 2002, I worked as a supply teacher to accommodate work and motherhood. In 2009, I joined the Astley Cooper School in Hemel Hempstead. At Astley Cooper, I was the Head of Department for four years. I have been a form tutor for all of the 12 years I have been there. I have taught across the age and ability range in my 30 years of teaching, and I am a well-respected and successful teacher.
