I am passionate about English Literature, History and Religious Studies and I am dedicated to helping students develop their skills and understanding in these subjects. I am well qualified to tutor students in English for both GCSE and A Level, having received an A* in English Literature A Level, achieving 100% in my exam. I am also well qualified to tutor students in Religious Studies through to A Level, as I am a First Class Honours Graduate in Religious Studies and Theology from the University of Birmingham. I have an up-to date DBS check.

In my spare time, I like reading widely, watching films, cooking and supporting my football team, Bolton Wanderers.

Availability: I am available to tutor on a relatively flexible basis throughout the academic year. I recognise that everyone learns differently and will adapt my tutoring to suit the needs and learning styles of students.

Experience: I have demonstrated a commitment to working with individuals who require some extra academic assistance to be the best they can be. I have previously mentored students in Religious Studies (Philosophy and Ethics) at Sixth Form College, as well as establishing good working relationships with individual pupils and groups of pupils during voluntary primary school placements. I was a tutor in English and History in 2018/19, helping my pupil achieve a Grade 8 in English Literature and a Grade 7 in History, an impressive improvement on his target of a Grade 5 in these subjects. I am currently tutoring in A Level History and assisted my tutee in achieveing A*s in his most recent work.

I appreciate that essay writing can be challenging at times and could also help with essay writing technique and improving structure, particularly as some of my Sixth Form College and University essays were used as model exemplars.
