Information about Neil
I returned to education as a mature student while working for London Underground. In March 2020 I completed my PhD in philosophy after securing a full bursary to study full time at the University of Chichester.
Alongside my teaching experience I continue to pursue my philosophical aims and I have two published articles in peer-reviewed journals. One on the methodology of political philosophy entitled, `Rousseau, Dewey, and Freire: A Political and Educational Method. The second on the educational theory of Paulo Freire entitled, `The Incoherence of the Interactional and Institutional Within Freire`s Politico-Educational Project.` Additionally, I have recently signed a contract with Routledge to produce a monograph of my research which will be published in 2023.
Availability: I am available Monday - Friday during the day. I am also available Monday, Tuesday and Friday evenings.

Experience: I have taught as an Associate Lecturer and Associate Tutor at university for the University of Chichester and Birkbeck College on a diverse number of modules. I am a philosophy specialist at the Philosophy Foundation and have been since 2015 specialising in EY philosophy. I also have experience teaching philosophy with the Brilliant Club and enjoyed introducing philosophy to KS2 students. Lastly, I have tutored with the UoLIP assisting international students gain university credit from the University of London.
Additionally, my research is heavily influenced by the philosophy of education and I have a passion for applying my pedagogical theory into the practice of teaching.
