I am a qualified secondary Maths teacher with a Master’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Liverpool, Qualified Teacher Status and the National Professional Qualification for Leading Teaching. I achieved an A* in A-level Mathematics and an A in Further Mathematics and have over 10 years of tutoring experience, alongside extensive state-school teaching experience across KS3, GCSE and A-level.

I have a proven record of helping students make significant progress, exceed their target grades and develop lasting confidence in Mathematics. My approach is compassionate, encouraging and tailored to each learner, including students with a wide range of abilities and additional learning needs. I identify gaps in understanding, explain difficult concepts clearly and provide structured support that enables students to achieve their full potential.

My master’s-level research focused on active learning and deep-learning strategies. I use evidence-based teaching methods, varied explanations and carefully selected questions to keep students engaged and actively involved in their learning.

I previously worked as an Academic Tutor at the University of Liverpool, where I tutored A-level students individually and assessed candidates for scholarship eligibility. I have also worked with The Tutor Trust, supporting KS3 and GCSE students and successfully improving their attainment.

Whether a student needs to strengthen their foundations, build confidence, prepare for examinations or aim for the highest grades, I provide patient, purposeful and academically rigorous tuition tailored to their individual goals.
I am fascinated to implement deep learning and the mastery approach to teaching in my tutoring sessions so that students can attain their full potential in solving problems, therefore, will be well equipped to achieve the top end academic achievements.

Availability: I am available Monday- Friday after 5 p.m and Weekends.
