Hi everyone, my name is Issy. Currently I work as a HR professional in London and I have previously worked as an in-school maths tutor at many schools across Yorkshire. Since tutoring was my full-time job for 2 years,I have received excellent training in tutoring ks4 to ks2 and additionally have many quality resources + lessons plans. I was also awarded ‘tutor of the year’ for the Yorkshire region in my previous job, an achievement of which I’m very proud of.

My aim is to always target areas where individual students struggle and have assessment activities built into my lesson plans so I can identify and target these areas accordingly.

I’ve always been a firm believer that success in Mathematics is highly linked with how confident a student in their ability. therefore many students benefit from one on one tution, not only because it improves their skills but since it also gives them that boost of confidence which they can then transfer positively in school and even further in exams.

I have a strong and consistent academic record and have gained a degree in Philosophy, Psychology and Scientific Thought. Previous to this I achieved AAB at A level with an A in maths. Additionally achieving 96% in my Maths GCSE.

Experience: - 2017-2018; I carried out a year long placement at a secondary school in Derbyshire as an in School maths tutor, teaching years 7-13.
- I have been private tutoring for 5 years, both online and offline.
- I have worked as a full time job in-school tutor and I have therefore been full trained in effective tuition, whilst also having numerous lesson plans and resources.
