Sachiyo

I`m Sachiyo, I graduated with a Masters in Physics from UCL in 2019 and have been working as a mechanical engineer in the field of cryogenics for 3 years. Cryogenics is a field of physics involving low temperatures, near the coldest temperatures possible!

I use A-level physics regularly in my job and would really love to share my experience!

Outside of work, I love to do martial arts, climbing and cycling as well as a bit of gaming here and there. Ask me about great hiking spots too!

My approach to teaching is exam style question based, I will be providing resources based on the student`s needs and encourage them to provide their own resources that they struggle with. Examples will be well explained and worked through slowly until the student can answer questions with less prompts and eventually with minimal assistance. Concepts will be explained with analogies and examples as we attempt to answer questions, and particularly difficult concepts can be demonstrated where appropriate and applicable.

Experience: I used to host origami classes for troubled children at my local community centre, where I developed a patient and forgiving attitude towards others and towards life. This also improved my ability to be engaging and interesting while teaching. During my A-levels I tutored GCSE Maths to a neighbour and I also assist my 14 year old brother with Maths homework. At work I explain concepts and skills to less experienced work colleagues in an engaging and passionate way. All in all this adds up to 100+ hours of teaching experience.
