I arrange a personalised learning programme specifically for your needs. I listen to your requirements and focus our work individually. I can work on issues of difficulty within your current curriculum if required and towards forthcoming exams, whether that is Common Entrance, a Key Stage, 11+ or GCSE English Language & Literature or if you simply want to learn our wonderful language!
I am a firm believer that to prosper you need to feel comfortable and relaxed, within that atmosphere I try to do whatever I can to achieve our objectives. I offer online English lessons via Skype for all ages and abilities and have a 100% pass rate in both 11+ and GCSE English Language and Literature (I have also helped many, many GCSE students who have previously failed go on to pass after sessions with me.)
Availability: Seven days a week, flexible range of times available.

I was appointed as the Head of the English Department of a very large Secondary School when I was only 24 yrs old and led a team of 14 full-time teachers to success.

I cannot recommend Colleen highly enough. My daughter has always struggled with English and Literature throughout her school career. This problem was made worse by a very poor English teacher during her GCSE course, making us very anxious that her English grade would let her down compared to her other subjects. My daughter is quite shy and was somewhat anxious to have a personal tutor. She need not have worried at all though as Colleen is a lovely lady. We warmed to her immediately and she put us at ease straight away. She was very communicative, consulted us continually and let us know her plan for my daughter throughout her time tutoring Ellyn. My daughter was achieving a grade 3 (equiv. D) in English literature and we were concerned that we had left it rather too late to make enough of a difference. However, within only 5 months, Colleen`s tutoring raised this grade up to a 7 (equiv. A) and we are completely delighted. Thank you, thank you, thank you Colleen.

Colleen is a very knowledgeable English tutor. She was able to assess my son and tailor her lessons to suit his needs. Although we had a couple of lessons with Colleen, it made a big difference. My son felt more confident after each lesson with Colleen and always went on about how much Colleen believes he can do well in his up coming exams. Colleen also guided him through some interview skills which was invaluable.
